Lumi is adorable, soft, and the Velcro ears are very easy for little hands to pull apart and put back together. I ended up putting some blue tape over the light module to dim the brightness. My kids just happened to like a lower light.
Easy to wash.
My kids are two and four and it is a little bit frustrating for them to operate the light button.
But that is common for any soft toy with a button inside.
They love the book, and they love the name LuMi. I would definitely recommend this product!
Hi Kristin, thank you for leaving us a review! I'm glad to hear your children enjoy LuMi and the book. For easier operation by small lands, have them try laying LuMi flat and press with the palm of their hand, or hug LuMi against their chest. The entire top op the light module is pressable.
My 3 year old loves his loomi. This has been helpful with his resistance to bedtime and his recent fear of the dark. He’s so cute and the book is adorable. Thank you!!!!
My six year old is afraid of the dark and sleeps on the top bunk, with those things put together, pre-LuMi, I would be jolted from my sleep at least twice a week with "Mama I need to..." . With LuMi, my son has found independence, he hangs it on the side of his bed, uses it to walk to the bathroom and now mama can get her zzzz in :-). Bonus is that LuMi is soft and cuddly and has made friends with all our other furry animals.
I bought a LuMi Gift set that comes along with a little pouch/bag and a booklet with a story about LuMi. My nephew loves his LuMi.
In the evening LuMi is there to help fall asleep. The light is just right to take away fears of a dark room and not too bright so he would be kept awake.
LuMI is cozy, great to carry with his ‘connectable’ arms. Cleaning is easy as you can remove the electronics/light away easily and then just wash it.
This is a great gift and with the story that comes with it kids make a connection to LuMi quickly.
I love the design. The hanging velcro that also looks like ears are easy to hold/carry. I also love the two stands of light, especially the "breathing" light. The only thing that I believe could be a nice improvement, is if the LuMi did not have batteries, but had a wire-less charging option. Oh, and a nice to have would be a wake-up timer, so that the light automatically turns on at 07:30am for intance. Thank you so much for this little lantern in our lives.
Hi Nicole, thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear you are enjoying LuMi. We did look into USB and wireless charging solutions, but it would have pushed up the cost considerably for our small production quantity. Additionally, the phthalates in electrical cords would have meant we could not have sold LuMi as a product that is safe for all ages. We're always looking to make LuMi better, though, and will continue to improve the design over time. Thanks for the suggestions.
