What material is LuMi made of?

The outer shell is made from soft fleece and the filling is made from microfiber that is hypoallergenic. The light module is made from high grade impact resistant thermoplastic. Everything is non toxic and phthalate free and certified to be safe for infants

Is LuMi safe for infants?

LuMi is designed with the safety of infants and children in mind. All materials are non-toxic, BPA-free and PVC-free. LuMi is safety certified to be suitable for infants; however, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that from birth to 12 months of age, the infant’s sleep area has no bumpers, pillows, blankets, loose clothing, soft objects, or toys. LuMi has convenient Velcro ears that can be fastened safely outside of the crib or bassinette during the first year of your child

Is LuMi machine washable?

Yes, LuMi can be washed at 40°C (Warm) and tumbled dry on medium heat. IMPORTANT: The light module has to be removed prior to washing and drying.

What kind of battery does LuMi use?

LuMi lights up with 3 AAA batteries. Ensure you do not mix old and new batteries and batteries of different brands.

How long will the battery last?

In field tests LuMi’s battery has lasted between 5 and 6 months with nightly use. It depends on the brand of batteries. Yes, they are not all the same.

My light module does not light up!

Check that the batteries are oriented in the right direction matching the graphical symbol. Replace old batteries with brand new ones. If that still does not work. Please contact us at: info@littlelantern.com

Where is LuMi made?

LuMi is designed in the Netherlands, engineered in USA and hand made in China. We work with a reputable US toy company that has over 25 years of experience and an excellent safety record. The manufacturers we work with are inspected regularly by a third party inspection agency and have all the necessary standards in place. LuMi itself is also thoroughly safety tested by a third party international company to ensure compliance to safety standards.

What is your return policy?
